I hope you all had a lovely Christmas! Mine was good but tiring, especially since I am the size of a small house now LOL
I know I've been very lazy with the journal updates this year, I'll try to do better next year!
Baby is growing well but is in breech position, she is due to arrive by c-section on January 8th unless she turns around by then, so my next post will probably be introducing my little girl to the world! Exciting!! :) |

I had my 21 week scan today - everything showed up as developing normally, which is fantastic news! We have a really squirmy baby! We asked to know the gender and we're having a little girl :)

We had a lovely time, it was very hot and very relaxing. Too bad the journeys were so stressful!  The airport was evacuated while we were waiting at the gate to board the flight on the way out, and on the way back Adam had a seizure on the plane and we had to be met by paramedics on the runway when we landed. He's ok now, but has to have some brain scans to try and determine the cause. They think it was probably just bought on by the stress of having a night flight and being up for 24 hours straight, but they want to make sure. It was very scary! Other than that you can see we had a great time and got very suntanned |

So... I had my scan today...
Everything went great! I'm so happy! We got to see the heartbeat and a little tiny baby. I'm measuring 9 weeks exactly and my due date is now January 15th. The tech said it was a good strong heartbeat, and the gynae said my risk of miscarriage is now only 3%. They also said I won't need a dating scan at 12 weeks now because they could date me accurately today, so my next scan will be around 20 weeks! Exciting!!!

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA COMING TO AN END
The Hollywood Reporter indicates that the upcoming fourth season of Sci Fi Channel's "Battlestar Galactica" will be its final one. After months of speculation, the show's producers will make the announcement at a press conference today. Ending "Battlestar" with the upcoming 22-episode fourth season was a creative decision made by the show's executive producers Ronald Moore and David Eick. "This show was always meant to have a beginning, a middle and finally, an end," Eick and Moore said in a statement Thursday. "Over the course of the last year, the story and the characters have been moving strongly toward that end and we've decided to listen to those internal voices and conclude the show on our own terms. And while we know our fans will be saddened to know the end is coming, they should brace themselves for a wild ride getting there - we're going out with a bang." The fourth and final season of "Galactica" will kick off in November with "Razor," an extended two-hour episode, with the rest of the season slated to run beginning in early 2008. Sci Fi's executive vp original programming Mark Stern said the channel's brass "respect the producers' decision to end the series." "We are proud to have been the home of this groundbreaking show," he said. "We have always known that Ron and David had a plan for 'Galactica' and trust that fans can look forward to a truly amazing final season." A couple of weeks ago, the show's star Edward James Olmos was quoted saying that the upcoming batch of episodes were definitely the last ones. Sci Fi issued a statement denying such a decision had been made. "I promise you that when Ron and I make a decision about 'Galactica's' future, we'll let you know," Eick said at the time.

I guess it's a good thing that BSG will go out on a high like B5 did, rather than dragging on and on until it isn't worth watching anymore (which is what happened to SG1 in my opinion), but I'm going to miss it so much!!!  |

Edit: D'oh! I just realised that Captain Jack isn't back until June 16th :( *Must wait patiently* |
